Red Temple (Alternanthera reineckii) is a very popular aquarium plant due to its extreme red colour.
This plant does best in temperatures from the low 60's to low 80's. These plants are slow-growing, and will reach up to 20 inches in length. It will require a moderate to high amount of light. While CO2 is not necessary, it will speed up the growth rate considerably.
We recommend this plant be rooted in a substrate designed specifically for aquatic plants. This plant should be fertilized consistently, and have access to plenty of iron to retain its vivid red colour.
